A premium crochet pattern
This pattern has been tech edited and tested. I have to say that my testers were amazing this time around. Every one of them finished the hat and gave great suggestions. They all really enjoyed making the pattern and most of them made more than one.
For the Model I used Red Heart Chic Sheep. I can't tell you how excited I am that Red Heart has come out with a 100% merino wool option. A few of the testers used Lion brand Vanna's Choice yarn, and those came out great too. Any size 4 yarn that has a gauge between 14 and 16 stitches per 4 inches/ 10 cm would be a great option for this hat.

Yarn: Red Heart Chic Sheep yarn: 100% merino wool, 100g/3.5 oz, 170 m/ 186 yrd 1 skein color sunset.
Hook: 5.00 mm, US H/8
Notions: Tapestry needle
Size: Adult (21 inches)
Gauge: 15 hdc x 13 rows = 4 in/10 cm
Stitches Used: Chain (ch), Half Double Crochet (hdc), Slip Stitch (sl st), Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc), Front Post Double Crochet 2 together (fpdc2tog)
Special stitches:
Fpdc2tog: yo, insert hook around the first post of the stitches indicated, yo, and pull the hook back around, (3 loops on the hook), yo, and pull through 2 loops on the hook, (2 loops on the hook), insert hook around the second post of the stitches indicated, yo, and pull the hook back around, (4 loops on the hook), yo and pull through 2 loops on the hook, yo and pull through the last 3 loops on the hook.
