Learners Curve Clutch: A Knitting Pattern

A Free Knitting Pattern

Last month I shared how to make the Learner's Curve Dishcloth. In it, I teach a new stitch pattern and how to add an i-cord edging.

In this new pattern I will show you how to create a clutch by expanding upon those two techniques. You will learn how to be add a color to your project and how to use i-chord edging to construct a simple clutch.

Do you like where things are going? What else would you like to make in this stitch pattern? Do you think you are ready for a garment? Tell me your thoughts in the comments!

My daughter graciously offered to model for me. She is the sweetest.

Where can I get this pattern

Garden Party Clutch: A Crochet Pattern

I sure do get distracted easily. I told you, my readers that I would slowly move my patterns over from Crochetvolution.com. I really wasn't thinking it would be this slowly. Since it is getting to be wedding season, I thought it would be a good time to bring this free clutch pattern over to the blog. As always it will still be at Crochetvolution . But it's nice to have all my patterns in one spot.

This is a great little bag to keep your essentials in when you need to get glammed up. I was at wedding this weekend and everyone had such fantastic clutches, and I was stuck with my big diaper bag. Oh well, one day I can have it all together.

Don't forget to add this pattern to your favorites on Ravelry. I have also made it available for pdf download for $3.00 through Ravelry. buy now This is a great option if you want a copy that is ads free and easy to print.

It Is Well With My Soul: An Embroidery Project

If you follow me on Instagram, then you have already seen this project in formation. I wanting to share it with everyone else and add a little template for it. For the template I drew it out took a picture of it and then edited it and put it into a pdf. I have it originally drawn and in the transverse.

I started by drawing it out on a note book. When I was happy with it I copied it on to the fabric using a heat sensitive pen.

For all the the lettering I used the stem stitch and I filled in with long stitches in the thicker sections.

For the flowers I used stem stitches for the stems. I added lazy daisy stitches in yellow for the yellow blossoms. I added a dark green stem on top and added blue french knots to that stem. I also added long green grass accent.

I framed it in a frame matted to fit a 5 by 7 pictures.

Here is where you can find the Template. It should print out to fit in a 5 by 7 frame.
